The restaurant’s recent renovation has enhanced its inviting atmosphere, complemented by attentive and knowledgeable staff who elevate the overall experience through personalized service. Overall, 刺身Sydney Tuna is celebrated for combining high-quality seafood with friendly service and a warm ambiance, making it a must-visit for lovers of authentic Japanese tuna cuisine.
This place has recently been renovated and transformed into a tuna-focused restaurant. You won’t find this level of quality and value for tuna anywhere else. The set menu and overall taste were excellent, and the customer service was absolutely flawless. Highly recommended!
I ordered takeaway today and was really impressed! The freshness and quality of the tuna were outstanding. Every single piece was so enjoyable, I loved every bite. Definitely one of the best sashimi experiences in Sydney!
Got the $110 blue fin tuna set + beef sukiyaki + grilled mackerel and was transported back to Japan! The sashimi was so fresh, and you get a great amount of sides. Everything was very filling (shared between 3 people), we loved every dish! Staff are so lovely, chef came out and explained all the tuna cuts - the otoro was so delish 10/10
Got Large Blue Fin Tuna $110 set. Most unique and outstanding experience ever! The long 1.5 hour (in the cold wind) wait was worth it. I initially had a fright when the menu online listed the sets as sold out, but the friendly waitress helped fulfil the order and assured that it was not sold out. However, make sure you arrive earlier lest you wait for over an hour. There is only walk-in bookings. Tuna was absolutely divine and juicy and full of flavour! Not even a bit of the ‘bloody’ taste you’d get normally from other plain tuna. The chef provided explanations on how to properly eat it, and where each part was located in the tuna. He was also kind enough to provide extra unique tuna pieces from another set as a kind of compensation for the long wait I suppose. The large set is accommodating for virtually any number of guests (number of side dishes corresponding to number of guests - with the exception of the shared dishes such as corn and cheese and fish cake soup), though the tuna sashimi you receive is still ~3 for each type. We also got 5 kind kebabs: chicken, chicken but less flavour, beef with veggies, honey-coated (I think) sausage, chicken skin. Some people might find the tuna a bit tough, especially the stomach part. But I have never ever had such juicy flavour bombs like this. Will definitely come back again.
10 out of 10.. tsuna large set is the must.. service, quality, friendly, atmosphere.. I have no words to complain.. enjoyed everything and my friends too.. Parking is always hard to look for but must must must visit n must booking n better go early
my partner and i ordered the large blue fin tuna set menu $110 (it comes with 2 individual sml rice porridges, unlimited seaweed, corn cheese, fish cake soup, tuna tataki salad and korean style pickles) we also added a chef skewers set (5 skewers) and a warm sake. we agreed that just the set menu woould be enough for us two, the sashimi was fresh, so delicious, we both hugged our happy bellies with smiles across our faces. walk-ins, do expect to wait for minimum of 30mins for a table, we visited on a friday night
Good food and good prices. Such a vibe here at night on a random weekday. Beef sukiyaki was filling and rich in flavour. Salmon sashimi was also really fresh and fatty.
Komatsu Bar and Grill offers a solid dining experience with a great atmosphere and tasty food. The menu has a nice variety of options, from grilled meat skewers, mini hotpots and grilled Wagyu, and the presentation of each dish is top-notch. The steak was cooked nicely, and the flavors were well-balanced. The drinks menu is impressive, with a good selection of Soju highballs and other alcoholic beverages that pair well with the food. The service was friendly and attentive, though there were a few minor delays during peak hours. You order using a QR code system which is very modern and convenient. The ambiance is modern and cozy, making it a great spot for a casual dinner or a night out with friends. The price is affordable too. Overall, Komatsu Bar and Grill is a great choice for a satisfying meal. I’d definitely recommend giving it a try!
